Jackie & I were in the Tequesta FL area last week to visit family & friends. On Thursday April 2, my daughter (Debbie) & I visited the Center.The center is there result of a woman named Elanor Fletcher AKA the "Turtle Lady".
It so happened that there was a turtle named Carlisle that was undergoing an operation. This center takes in sickand wounded turtles with the intent of healing and returning them to the ocean.There is a museum, veiwing tanks and a lecture room. Debbie will be taking her kindergarden class there this comminng week. She will check on Carlisle and let me know how he is doing.
The fossil emains of Archelon, the largest sea turtle is on display.
I also enjoyed the living fish that were on display.
On the drive home we spotted some beauganvilla along Alt. A1A.
