diagonally aross the states, sightseeing our way to Oregon and back
to Florida. This summer we are joining an RV caravan and going to
the Canadian Maritimes for a 56 day tour.
Because of things that needed to be completed in Florida we weren’t
able to leave until Monday May 30. So, there is not much to write
about since we have done more traveling than sightseeing. I did take
some pictures at a campground we stayed at near the Skyline Drive
in Virginia.

There is a statue of a horse that reminded me of the evil red eyed
stallion at the entrance to the Denver airport. However, this one
looked more friendly.

The building in the background is the clubhouse. The second floor
is the Adult Lounge. Kids are allowed only if accompanied by a
parent. It is a very nice place to relax.

If interested you can see pictures of the park at:
and have about another 750 miles to go before we arrive at the
Pumpkin Patch RV Resort where we will meet the folks that will
make up the motorhome caravan that will be going to the
Canadian Maritimes.
Here is a map of our travels so far. The Pumpkin Patch is the
blue triangle shaped icon above the town of Augusta Maine.
We will tomorrow here as we have some cleaning, shopping,
etc to do. I think our next stop will be in Connecticut. We
have not been able to make contact with a campground in
the Springfield, MA area we were planning to stay at. I
think the storm that hit the area has affected communications.
